Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Rainmaker Web Design, LLC, doing business as Immersive E-commerce ("Diffy Theme Tools", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit https://diffythemetools.com (the "Website") and when you use the Diffy app and related services (together, the "Services"). Diffy is distributed through the Shopify App Store.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you contact us by email or sign up for the Services, we collect information such as your name, email address, Shopify store details, and the contents of your messages.
Information collected automatically on the Website. When analytics is enabled with your consent, our analytics provider (Google Analytics) collects standard usage data such as your IP address (truncated/handled per Google's settings), browser and device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs. If you decline analytics, these cookies are not set.
Information processed by the Diffy app. To provide theme diffing, change tracking, file search, and backups, the app accesses and stores your Shopify theme files and related store metadata that you authorize through Shopify's permission flow. Payment and billing for the app are handled by Shopify; we do not collect or store your payment card details.
2. Cookies and analytics
The Website uses only essential cookies by default. Google Analytics (a non-essential analytics cookie) is loaded only after you opt in through our cookie banner, and is blocked until then using Google Consent Mode. You can accept or reject analytics at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Website and the Services;
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- With your consent, to measure and understand Website traffic;
- To send you service-related and administrative messages; and
- To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, under contract, including:
- Shopify — app distribution, authentication, billing, and store data (see Shopify's privacy policy);
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement, only with your consent (see Google's privacy policy);
- Our web hosting provider; and
- Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect our rights.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. App data associated with your account is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after your account is closed, subject to backups.
6. International transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own. We take steps to protect it consistent with this policy and applicable law.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights (EEA/UK — GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent (such as for analytics cookies), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Your rights (California — CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We use Google Analytics, which may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out by selecting "Reject" in our cookie banner or using the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Categories of personal information we may collect: identifiers (e.g., name, email, IP address), commercial information (subscription/transaction records via Shopify), and internet activity (with consent). To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be posted on this page.
